Renovation Diary- Part I: The House

So after 6 months scouring the market, I finally found a house that was: a) in my price range b) reasonably priced (we’ll see) c) seemingly in need of and easily renovatable (we’ll see) d) something that just felt right I’ll spare you the details about how I found my broker and builder and did all of the research to determine that this was the right one. Just know this- I have absolutely no idea what I am doing. I am not technically or handyman inclined. I think I know good design from bad, but I could spend a week ruminating the merits of particular shades of color for a bath mat purchase. I’m very good at saying, “I like that. “I don’t like that.” But there is a little too much nuance, too many variables, and I have too little expertise to make the definitive decisions that I assume will be necessary when it comes to renovating this house.
